Lumbar Flexion-Distraction – LFD involves the use of a specialized table that gently "distracts" or stretches the spine and allows us to isolate the area of disc involvement while flexing the spine in a pumping rhythm.
Activator – Involves the use of a tool called an activator (sometimes referred to as a "clicker"). This instrument is helpful for adjustments to specific areas, and is considered less forceful. The low force nature of this method is helpful when providing care for the elderly, the very young, or those with decreased bone density.
The Graston Technique involves the use of surgical-grade stainless steel instruments specifically designed to provide "feedback" to the practitioner. This feedback helps reveal any knots or graininess that might stem from scar tissue (dense, irregular connective tissue formation.) That scar tissue can be due to trauma or smaller, more prolonged "microtraumas" to the muscle.
The use of these metal Graston instruments helps break up the scar tissue and facilitates healing. This technique can increase your body's rate of recovery following an injury, help you hold adjustments better/longer, and even aid in improving range of motion.

Many of our patients have benefited from our rehabilitative exercise program. We can help show you how to properly stretch and strengthen any areas of discomfort.
The exercises we utilize can be performed both in-office and from the comfort of your own home. Performing these exercises not only helps patients heal faster, but can also help prevent future injury as well.
Nutritional coaching is offered during regular office visits, and a more in-depth analysis is also available through some of our wellness partners for those seeking a more comprehensive plan.
We applaud all patients who take the time to educate themselves about different dietary interventions, and are happy to offer individualized supplement recommendations as well.
Kinesio taping is used to help support and strengthen the body's natural healing properties. Unlike athletic tape – which tends to restrict motion – kinesio tape is flexible and elastic. When applied directly over an injured or problematic area, kinesio tape lightly pulls on the muscles and joints to provide individuals with subtle support while still allowing them to move freely.
In addition to allowing muscles and joints to do their job more easily, kinesio taping gently pulls the skin away from the underlying tissue, allowing for increased blood and lymph flow to the region, which assists in speeding up the healing process.
Physiotherapy includes a wide variety of protocols like electric muscle stimulation, cryotherapy, massage and ultrasound. How these treatments work and how they might help a patient are spelled out below.
Electric Muscle Stimulation – A pain management technique that applies stimulation to affected nerves or muscles. Doing so encourages the body's release of natural pain-killers.
Cryotherapy – Involves the application of ice to treat several types of acute pain, including pain often associated with back or neck injuries.
Massage – Offered in-office to help relieve tense muscles and promote movement of swelling. We are proud to provide multiple licensed massage therapists to patients.
Ultrasound – Used to decrease inflammation and expedite the rate of healing. Done by converting mechanical energy into sound waves that work on the body at a cellular level.
Cold laser therapy is often used to treat chronic or acute pain, maintain wellness, and improve health and athletic performance. The treatment is natural, non-invasive, and free of any drugs or side effects. Over 300 conditions have been shown to benefit from cold laser therapy, including sciatica, arthritis/tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, disc herniation, sprains, strains, and any type of joint injury.
Cold laser therapy involves a pulsed laser, an infrared light, and a magnetic field that quickly and painlessly lessen symptoms. Treatment can be used in tandem with any of the other methods listed here and is an efficient tool that often yields fairly quick results.
Who Can Benefit
Any Of The Following Can Be Improved

Tennis Elbow
Tennis elbow manifests as pain on the outside of your elbow caused by twisting or straightening your lower arm. Cold laser therapy, rehabilitative exercise regimens, and active release techniques have all been shown to help those who suffer.

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is characterized by debilitating pain near the heel area, often most pronounced first thing in the morning or after long periods of inactivity. Electromagnetic muscle stim, kinesio taping and cold laser can all be beneficial.

Migraines
Migraines and vertigo are often overlooked as conditions that can benefit greatly from quality chiropractic care. Spinal manipulation, Epley Maneuver use, and identification of triggering foods or environments can go a long way.

Pain & Soreness
Back, neck and joint pain all respond well to the many tools a good chiropractor has at their disposal. These include in-office interventions, such as tailored adjustment plans, as well as homework like diet modifications and strength work.

Carpal Tunnel
Those with carpal tunnel can testify to the level of interference the pain or weakness can cause a person. Ultrasound can be helpful in diagnosing the condition, while cryotherapy and EMS can help mitigate pain and improve function.

Ear Infections
Many don't immediately think of chiropractic care when a little one is dealing with an ear infection, but gentle, natural approaches such as Eustachian tube massage are often more effective and less harmful than antibiotics or ear tubes.
